  Kathryn Dunning – Principal / Dentist
Kathryn qualified from Kings College London in 1991 and had spent a few years gaining further experience within Hospitals in oral surgery, paediatrics and orthodontics. In 2005 Kathryn moved to Devon with her husband and two young sons and set up Salcombe Dental Practice. Kathryn has set up the practice so that it is very patient orientated. She is dedicated to giving a lot of time and care to her patients. With a specialist interest in Restorative dentistry (Crowns, Bridgework, Veneers and Restoring Implants) and specifically Occlusion (bite) Kathryn actively partakes in professional development. Kathryn leads our team by setting her standards very high, with a policy of; “treating people how you would like to be treated”.

  Gregory Souster - Dentist
Greg qualified from Birmingham University in July 2009 and is undertaking his Foundation Dentist Training with Kathryn Dunning. Greg has a particular interest in periodontal care, restorative treatment and paediatrcs. He is very focused on a "treat as you would want to be treated" ethos and providing a highest level of care for his patients. Greg has experience working with adults and children from deprived areas. Working in community outreach schemes, sedation clinics, and maxillofacial & periodontal surgeries. In his spare time Greg enjoys cooking, fishing, walking, astronomy, volleyball (which he used to coach) and photography. Greg is also qualified to level 1 in British sign language.

  Lucy Stratton - Dentist
Lucy qualified from Birmingham University in July 2009, and is undertaking her Foundation Dentist Training with Kathryn Dunning. During her time at the Practice Lucy is looking to further develop her Dental knowledge and all aspects associated with running a successful Practice. Lucy is committed to the Practice ethos of patient centered care. Outside of Dentistry she enjoys cycling and all things musical, playing her clarinet to relax after a hard day's work.
 
       
  Sue Brooks – Practice Manager & Qualified Nurse
Sue qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse in 2008 and also as an Oral Health Educator in 2009. Sue has many years of experience in the Dental field, previously as a Dental Nurse, but also has worked within a Dental Lab gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge. Sue has also completed the first stage of Implant Nurse Training and is a qualified Smoking Cessation Advisor. Sue is a very organised and enthusiastic member of the team, and continues her personal development by studying First Line Management Level 5 at South Devon College Sue likes swimming, has two teenage children and enjoys being crafty in her free time. Her lovely handmade cards are available for patients to look at in reception.
     
 

Lisa Hill – Head Dental Nurse & Oral Health Educator
Lisa is a qualified Dental Nurse with many years of Dental Nurse experience and is our head Dental Nurse. Lisa currently supervises the two nurses in the practice. Lisa is very enthusiastic and is a perfectionist. She sat her Oral Health Educators exam in September 2009. Lisa also the Practice cross infection control supervisor and has a qualification in Child Protection and Smoking cessation.
Lisa enjoys her role as our Oral Health Educator and provides free 30 min. sessions to assist all our patients gain and maintain a health smile. Lisa has lived in the area for 33 years and is a familiar face in the practice for locals.
Lisa likes to keep fit, and recently completed the Race For Life and finished in an admiral time. She has two grown up daughters, and is part of our local all women’s singing group.

     
 

Tina King – Receptionist
Tina qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2002 and Oral Health Educator in 2004. Tina is most likely to be the friendly face to greet you on the front desk. She is especially understanding with our nervous patients as she once was a very anxious patient herself. Tina has completed the first stage of Implant Nurse Training. Tina has a personal interest in supporting breast cancer awareness, and actively involves the practice in charity fundraising events. In the past Tina has done a 10,000ft sky dive, and abseiled down the Civic Centre, Plymouth, completed the Race For Life and swam the equivalent of the English Channel, all for charity.
Tina is looking to further her career and has been short listed by the NEBDN to become an Examiner for Dental Nurses and would hope to train Dental Nurses and Oral health Educators in the future

     
  Ria Hilton – Dental Nurse
Ria is working with us as part of a dental nursing course with the University of Plymouth. She will be qualified as a registered dental nurse by February 2010, after completing 2 years in practice. Before choosing dental nursing as a career she previously managed a restaurant. Ria is delighted she changed her career path, her bubbly character makes her very approachable to all patients and she is proving to be an excellent Dental nurse.

  Lorraine Paul – Hygienist
Lorraine has been involved in Dentistry since 1980. She qualified in 1986 at Cardiff University as a Dental Hygienist and worked for Exeter Health Authority. She worked in a variety of general dental practices over the last 23 years. Lorraine is currently involved in tutoring Dental Nurses training in Oral Health Education. Lorraine is married with two lovely daughters, which takes up the rest of her spare time.

  Chistina Weeks – Dental Nurse
Christina has worked with us as part of her Dental Nurse training with the University of Plymouth and is now a qualified Dental Nurse and will be registered in February 2010 after completing 2 years in Practice. Christina is a very caring, organised member of the team, and is pursuing her ambition to train as a Dental Hygienist. Christina spends her spare time going to the gym, playing tennis, surfing, baking and camping!
